About Us
Featuring rock music, casual dress, and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere for all who join or visit, His Hands Church in Woodstock, Georgia, does not view jeans or T-shirts as an affront to God. The non-denominational Christian church takes a 21st-century approach to sharing Jesus’ love with people, employing videos, music, podcasts, and other technology to spread its message. Founded by Susan and Steve Craig, who continue to act as volunteer co-leaders, His Hands Church has welcomed everyone with open arms since 2005.
Children enjoy a special place at His Hands Church, which includes a nursery, an indoor playground, a His Kidz youth group for first- through fifth-graders, and multiple programs for teenagers. The Thursday Night High School group hangs out and chats about life and Jesus. The church’s Blue Light Coffee shop, featuring comfortable sofas and live music, sometimes opens exclusively for high school students. Junior high students meet at His Hands Church every Wednesday in the Arena, a special wing of the church designed with teens in mind. Another program, Moms Rock, provides an opportunity for stay-at-home mothers and children to spend time together.
Other opportunities to get to know people at His Hands Church include Bible studies, a business networking group, and several other groups and classes aimed at connecting people together as they grow closer to Jesus. The Great Outdoors group enjoys God’s creation through such pursuits as camping, archery, fishing, hunting, and hiking. The Un-Home Group dines out at different restaurants while enjoying each other’s company. Freedom from Addiction at His Hands Church provides a Jesus-centered 12-step program for recovery from drug and alcohol abuse. The church also offers ministry for prisoners.
Housed in a renovated former K-Mart building that stood vacant for several years before His Hands Church came along, the unconventional ministry has improved the surrounding neighborhood in obvious ways. The parking lot serves as a bus stop for the Georgia Regional Transportation Authority, and the Cub Scouts of Boys Scouts of America Pack 6410 meets regularly at the church.
