Founded in 2005, His Hands Church is a nondenominational congregation that focuses on a direct relationship with God. Committed to the belief that community service is an important part of worship, His Hands Church supports a number of local organizations, such as FaithBridge Foster Care, which connects potential foster parents with children who need them. To ensure foster families are as successful as possible, FaithBridge provides extensive training to potential and active foster families. Families considering Christian foster care are invited to attend an orientation called Encounter, which introduces them to the program and helps them determine if fostering is right for them. Those who choose to become foster families then take part in a multi-day program called Foundations. This program meets state requirements and provides an opportunity for deeper learning and support. Current foster and respite parents with FaithBridge continue with an advanced training program that meets several times a month. FaithBridge also offers support training to volunteers who serve foster children and their families. |
